Assembly, including Q+A!
During this 30 minute assembly, Jamie will take the children and teachers through the journey that has led to the publishing of Toggy’s Friendship Dream – from initial ideas to the final print they see in front of them!
COST: **FREE** – (Please see ‘Additional Costs’ below as this may apply depending on location!)
Book Purchases
Included with the booking of the assembly will be the opportunity for the staff and children to purchase a copy of Toggy’s Friendship Dream at a discounted price – though this copy would be signed! Jamie will sign the books in advance of the visit to save time and a queueing system following the visit…
COST: Signed books can be provided at £6 a copy
Optional Creative Writing Workshops
Learn about Jamie’s creative writing process – and then try it out! During this 45 minute session, Jamie will explore how ideas can be developed, even from the most simple of objects that can be found in most classrooms! Jamie will bring a selection of objects to ‘spark’ the imagination, and the children can take it from there!
Looking to complete a ‘creative writing day’ or kick off a new topic with a launch day? Why not use the workshop as a starting basis and then continue the process when Jamie has left!
COST: £50 per class
Additional Costs: Depending on location, I may need to charge travel expenses, though this will be determined during the booking process before the visit is confirmed.
FAQs
- Is the author visit FREE? It can be, depending on your requirements and your location! If you would like the assembly option only, and it would take me less than an hour to get to you, this would be free and also includes the option to purchase signed copies of the book in advanced too!
- How do we order books? Simply provide me with the amount you would like ordered at least 3 weeks before the visit is scheduled to take place and I will bring them with me!
- How do we pay for the books? Use your preferred school method to receive the payments from parents / staff, and I will provide an invoice shortly after the visit to cover the costs.
- Will there be the option to purchase books on the day? Potentially, yes, though this cannot be guaranteed I am afraid.
- Are the books discounted? Yes… the books will be discounted by at least 20%
- Do you sign the books onsite? Due to the time this can take, I would recommend that the books are signed in advance, but I am happy to discuss specifically whether this would be of interest to you for the visit.
